VITAMIN D3,
hormone, hair and bone support.
Summary of Why You Need Our Vitamin D3
-
Bones need Vitamin D more than they need
calcium in this modern world, so it is good for bone health.
- Vitamin D3 is known as the happy vitamin...yes, we have many
reports where people say they are simply happier, in a better
mood!
-
Reduces DHT (increased DHT is the known cause
of hairloss), which means reducing hair loss, helps increase
sexual abilities, and protect the prostate.
-
It is a hormone regulator because Vitamin
D is a hormone that upregulates more than 1000 other hormones.
Equally effective for men and women.
-
Subsequently this combination helps regulate
sleep patterns as well!
This formula started as a remedy for hair
loss
It is now widely accepted that the main culprit in the hair loss
of 95% of us is a build up of DHT, which is made from excess estrogen
building up (which men have more than women!) Therefore the principal
aspect in the strategy to stop hair loss is to block excess DHT
(dihydrotestosterone).
What Is DHT? Dihydrotestosterone
is primarily responsible for the physical changes that occur during
male sexual maturation and is thought to be proportionally correlated
to sex drive as well as erectile capabilities in men. In addition,
DHT has been associated with benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH) and
prostate cancer. DHT is the most potent naturally occurring androgen
and is produced from free testosterone through the action of 5-alpha-reductace.
5-alpha-reductace concentrations are highest in the peripheral tissues
(genital skin and hair follicles). Male and female pattern hair
loss is thought to be due to the effects of DHT on genetically predisposed
hair follicles. Binding of DHT to the hair follicle results
in gradual miniaturization of the hair and eventual hair loss.
Propecia, the most popular drug sold to stop hair
loss is a DHT blocker. Propecia basically works by lowering the
levels of DHT in the body by blocking the enzyme 5 alpha reductase.
We must keep in mind that Propecia is a drug and it has some side
effects. For men, the main side effect is a decrease in libido,
dificulty achieving an erection and a decrease in the amount of
semen released. Propecia is contraindicated for use in women. Pregnant
women should not even handle a broken pill due to severe risks to
the fetus. Our D3 formula is completely natural and does not block
5 alpha reductase, or any other natural function in the body. It
works by balancing hormones and reducing excessive or accumulated
amounts of DHT. So not only is there no loss of libido but often
works to increase libido!
Our natural ingredient list includes:
Saw Palmetto
This is probably the best known natural dht blocker. Studies have
shown that saw palmetto is an effective anti-androgen. It acts in
a similar way that propecia does. First it lowers levels of DHT
in the body by blocking 5 alpha-reductase. Secondly Saw Palmetto
block receptor sites on cell membranes required for cells to absorb
DHT.
Studies have been performed on the use of Saw palmetto
in the treatment of benign prostatic disease which similarly to
Androgenetic alopecia also depends on the production of dihydrotestosterone.
All of the studies that have been performed to date show that Saw
palmetto is an effective antiandrogen and has shown conclusively
to be effective in the treatment of benign prostratic disease.
One may assume from this that since Saw palmetto
is an effective antiandrogen and is used in the treatment of prostatic
disease then it may also be effective in the treatment of Androgenetic
alopecia. Saw palmetto is a potent herbal dht blocker.
Pygeum
The active constituents of Pygeum extract include phytosterols that
inhibit the production of dht. Pygeum also has ingredients that
reduce prolacting levels and block the accumulation of cholesterol
in the prostate. Prolactin is believed to increase the uptake of
testosterone by the prostate, and cholesterol increases binding
sites for dht. Pygeum basically reduces the levels of DHT in the
blood and reduces the number of sites where the dht can attach.
This includes reducing the number of hair follicles where dht would
bind. When combined with Saw Palmetto it seems to have a truly synergetic
effect on the prevention of hair loss.
Nettles
Clinical studies have confirmed stinging nettle's benefit to men
in reducing symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (a noncancerous
enlargement of the prostate gland). A concentrated root extract
of nettle is sometimes combined with saw palmetto (Serenoa repens)
and the bark of the pygeum evergreen tree (Pygeum africanum) to
treat the early stages of the disease. The herbal combination helps
to increase the urinary volume and maximize the rate of urine flow.
German research suggests that active ingredients in the nettle root
may reduce prostate swelling. Again, since androgenetic alopecia
is caused by the same factors (DHT) as prostatic hyperplasia. Therefore
this combination of ingredients is also extremelly effective in
warding off hair loss.
Pumpkin Seed
Have been demonstrated to inhibit DHT formation through the inhibitory
effect on 5-alpha-reductase activity. Inhibition of DHT formation
is also known to be beneficial for hair growth if you are experiencing
age-related hair loss. Pumpkin seed breaks down dht via the liver.
Green Tea
Green Tea is an extremely powerful anti-oxidant. It also reduces
dht and cholesterol. It is believed that drinking the tea or taking
a pill extract can stop hair loss and facilitate re-growth. Green
tea has a host of additional health benefits. It contains flavonols
and catechins, substances that have been found to have significant
antioxidant, antitumor, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties.
Soy Isoflavones
In the case of hair loss, Soy Isoflavones are useful because they
seem to regulate bad cholesterol. The reduction of overall cholesterol
is important because cholesterol can produce the enzyme 5 alpha
reductase which then turns testosterone into dht. Therefore, isoflavones
have dht blocking properties.
Soy has been shown to provide many health benefits
including bone maintenance, hormonal regulation in women (especially
during menopause) and nutritional support for cardiovascular health
and prostate health.
This is a particularly good dht blocker for women
since it offers other advantages like reducing the risk of breast
and uterine cancer. They also offer protection from osteoporosis.
Finally, there is also evidence that soy may provide an easier transition
into post-menopausal years for women.
Beta Sitosterols
This is the substance that is able to block DHT. Beta Sitosterols
acutally contains more sterols than saw palmeto. In addition, Beta
Sitosterols also lower cholesterol levels which also inhibit the
production of DHT. Therefore it is a very powerful DHT blocker and
since it is a completely natural product, it does not have any adverse
side effects.
In severals studies, Beta Sitosterols have been proven as effective
as many drugs in treating prostate problems. Since these prostate
problems are also caused by DHT, it is easy to see that Beta Sitosterols
can be a powerful weapon in warding off hair loss.
Vitamin D3 (cholelalcifeol)
Sodium Ascorbate, Magnesium
Citrate, Citric acid and Inulin
Also known as Vitamin C, there is too much that can be said about
the benefits of vitamin C. It's primary purpose in this formula
is to work in conjunction with the Vitamin D3 and its ability to
be used at its most effective properties in the body.
