Liver/Gallstone Cleanse

Some health advisors say that everyone has gallstones (and I tend to agree), it is just a matter of how many and if they are causing health issues. You may ask, “Shouldn’t I have pain or something if I have gallstones?” If it gets to the point of pain, nausea or vomiting, you are in serious trouble. It would be much less pain and aggravation if you simply do a periodic flush and get the stones out before they build to the point of illness.

NOTE: If you have an x-ray that does not show gallstones, you can still be fairly certain that you have some stones to pass. They will often line up in the ducts of the liver and x-rays will not show that.  OH! And if you don’t have a gallbladder, you still need to flush the liver, sorry. But more stones and junk store in the liver than the gallbladder. This cleanse is suggested at least twice each year for prevention. After intestinal regulation and cleansing (Bowel Stimulant, IC-1, IC-2), this is the next option if you still have health challenges. You can repeat it every night for three nights in a row and you may repeat the following three day cleanse every other week if necessary.

This cleanse is useful for liver congestion, gallstones, lactic acid build-up (anxiety), eliminates shoulder, upper arm, and upper back pain or use for general health improvement.

 

Ingredients you will need:
o 1/2 Cup Olive Oil Extra Virgin
o 1 Big grapefruit (2 small) (Or 3 lemons)
o 4 tablespoon EPSOM salts
o 3 cups water (=750 dl)

  • Choose a day like Saturday for the cleanse, since you will be able to rest the next day.
  • Take no medicines, vitamins or pills that you can do without; they could prevent success.
  • Eat a no-fat breakfast and lunch such as cooked cereal with fruit, fruit juice (no butter or milk or dairy), baked potato or other vegetables with salt only. This allows the bile to build up and develop pressure in the liver. Higher pressure pushes out more stones.

2:00 PM.

  • Do not eat or drink after 2 o’clock. If you break this rule you could feel quite ill later.
  • Get your Epsom salts ready. Mix 4 tbs. in 3 cups water and pour this into a jar. This makes four servings, 3/4 cup each. Set the jar in the refrigerator to get cold (for convenience and taste only).
    You can substitute the 3 cups of water with 3 cups freshly pressed grapefruit juice, or freshly pressed apple juice, it makes the salty taste more palatable.

6:00 PM.

  • Drink one serving (3/4 cup) of the ice cold Epsom salts. If you did not prepare this ahead of time, do it right now. You may also add 1/8 tsp. vitamin C powdered to improve the taste. You may also drink a few mouthfuls of water afterwards or rinse your mouth.
  • Get the olive oil and grapefruit out to warm up.

8:00 PM.

  • Repeat by drinking another 3/4 cup of Epsom salts. You haven’t eaten since two o’clock, but you won’t feel hungry. Get your bedtime chores done. The timing is critical for success; don’t be more than 10 minutes early or late.

9:45 PM.

  • Pour 1/2 cup (measured) olive oil into the pint jar. Squeeze the grapefruit by hand into the measuring cup. You can skip this if you make your EPSOM salt in grapefruit juice. If you used water, proceed with fresh grapefruit. Remove pulp with fork. You should have at least 1/2 cup, more (up to 3/4 cup) is best. You may top it up with lemonade. Add this to the olive oil. Close the jar tightly with the lid and shake hard until watery (only fresh grapefruit does this).
  • Now visit the bathroom one or more times, but don’t be more than 15 minutes late for your ten o’clock drink. You will drink your concoction at 10:00 pm.

10:00 PM.

  • Drink the potion you have mixed. You can take 4 Ornithine capsules (an amino acid supplement) with the first sips to make sure you will sleep through the night. Take 8 if you already suffer from insomnia. Take it to your bedside if you want, but drink it standing up. Get it down within 5 minutes (fifteen minutes for very elderly or weak persons).
  • Lie down immediately. You might fail to get stones out if you don’t. The sooner you lie down the more stones you will get out. Be ready for bed ahead of time. Don’t clean up the kitchen. As soon as the drink is down walk to your bed and lie down flat on your back with your head up high on the pillow. Try to think about what is happening in the liver. Try to keep perfectly still for at least 20 minutes. You may feel a train of stones traveling along the bile ducts like marbles. There is no pain because the bile duct valves are open (thank you Epsom salts!). Go to sleep.

Next morning. If you wake up and pass stones in your bowel movement, you can call it successful. Eat no fat for several hours, try to eat healthy that day to help the body continue any cleansing. If you do not pass stones, or if you do and want to take the liver flush to the next level, continue as follows.

Upon awakening (after bathroom trip) take your third dose of Epsom salts. If you have indigestion or nausea wait until it is gone before drinking the Epsom salts. You may go back to bed. Don’t take this potion before 6:00 AM.

2 hours later.

  • Take your fourth (and last) dose of Epsom salts. Drink 3/4 cups of the mixture. You may go back to bed. NOTE: If you have diarrhea at this point, you do not need to take this last drink.
  • After 2 more hours you may eat. Start with fresh fruit juice. Half an hour later eat fruit. One hour later you may eat regular food but keep it light. By supper you should feel recovered.

Expect diarrhea in the morning. Use a flashlight to look for gallstones in the toilet with the bowel movement. Look for the green kind since this is proof that they are genuine gallstones, not food residue. Only bile from the liver is pea green. The bowel movement sinks but gallstones float because of the cholesterol inside. Count them all roughly, whether tan or green. You will need to pass about 2,000 stones before the liver is clean enough to rid you of allergies or bursitis or upper back pains permanently. The first cleanse may rid you of them for a few days, but as the stones from the rear travel forward, they give you the same symptoms again. You may repeat cleanses at two week intervals. As a matter of fact, if you pass any stones or sludge, it is recommended that you repeat the flush every two weeks until you no longer pass any stones or slush. This means the liver is cleansed enough to begin rebuilding. Never cleanse when you are ill.

Sometimes, the bile ducts are full of cholesterol crystals that did not form into round stones. They appear as a “chaff” floating on top of the toilet bowl water. It may be tan colored, harboring millions of tiny white crystals. Cleansing this chaff is just as important as purging the stones.

How safe is the liver cleanse? It is very safe. Dr Hulda Clark says, “My opinion is based on over 500 cases, including many persons in their seventies and eighties. None went to the hospital; none even reported pain. However it can make you feel quite ill for one or two days afterwards.”

This procedure contradicts many modern medical viewpoints. Gallstones are thought to be formed in the gallbladder, not the liver. They are thought to be few, not thousands. They are not linked to pains other than gallbladder attacks. It is easy to understand why this thought: by the time you have acute pain attacks, some stones are in the gallbladder, are big enough and sufficiently calcified to see on X-ray, and have caused inflammation there. When the gallbladder is removed the acute attacks are gone, but the bursitis and other pains and digestive problems remain.

The truth is self-evident. People who have had their gallbladder removed surgically still get plenty of green, bile coated stones, and anyone who cares to dissect their stones can see that the concentric circles and crystals of cholesterol match textbook pictures of “gallstones” exactly.

Gallstones consist of cholesterol and bile pigments in different concentration depending on the conditions under which they were formed.

Tricks for Common Complaints

Clear your stuffed nose!

Forget Sudafed. An easier, quicker, and cheaper way to relieve sinus pressure is by alternately thrusting your tongue against the roof of your mouth, then pressing between your eyebrows with one finger. This causes the vomer bone, which runs through the nasal passages to the mouth, to rock back and forth, says Lisa DeStefano, D.O., an assistant professor at the Michigan State University college of osteopathic medicine. The motion loosens congestion; after 20 seconds, you’ll feel your sinuses start to drain.

Cure your toothache without opening your mouth!

Just rub ice on the back of your hand, on the V-shaped webbed area between your thumb and index finger. A Canadian study found that this technique reduces toothache pain by as much as 50 percent compared with using no ice. The nerve pathways at the base of that V stimulate an area of the brain that blocks pain signals from the face and hands.

Make burns disappear!

When you accidentally singe your finger on the stove, clean the skin and apply light pressure with the finger pads of your unmarred hand. Ice will relieve your pain more quickly, Dr. DeStefano says, but since the natural method brings the burned skin back to a normal temperature, the skin is less likely to blister.

Unstitch your side!

If you’re like most people, when you run, you exhale as your right foot hits the ground. This puts downward pressure on your liver (which lives on your right side), which then tugs at the diaphragm and creates a side stitch, according to The Doctors Book of Home Remedies for Men. The fix: Exhale as your left foot strikes the ground.

Stanch nose bleeds with a single finger!

Pinching your nose and leaning back is a great way to stop a nosebleed—if you don’t mind choking on your own O positive. A more civil approach: Put some cotton on your upper gums—just behind that small dent below your nose—and press against it, hard. “Most bleeds come from the front of the septum, the cartilage wall that divides the nose,” says Peter Desmarais, M.D., an ear, nose, and throat specialist at Entabeni Hospital, in Durban, South Africa. “Pressing here helps stop them.”

Make your heart stand still!

Trying to quell first-date jitters? Blow on your thumb. The vagus nerve, which governs heart rate, can be controlled through breathing, says Ben Abo, an emergency medical-services specialist at the University of Pittsburgh. It’ll get your heart rate back to normal.

Thaw your brain!

Too much Chipwich too fast will freeze the brains of lesser men. As for you, press your tongue flat against the roof of your mouth, covering as much as you can. “Since the nerves in the roof of your mouth get extremely cold, your body thinks your brain is freezing, too,” says Abo. “In compensating, it overheats, causing an ice-cream headache.” The more pressure you apply to the roof of your mouth, the faster your headache will subside.

Prevent near-sightedness!

Poor distance vision is rarely caused by genetics, says Anne Barber, O.D., an optometrist in Tacoma, Washington. “It’s usually caused by near-point stress.” In other words, staring at your computer screen for too long. So flex your way to 20/20 vision. Every few hours during the day, close your eyes, tense your body, take a deep breath, and, after a few seconds, release your breath and muscles at the same time. Tightening and releasing muscles such as the biceps and glutes can trick involuntary muscles – such as the eyes – into relaxing as well.

Wake dead limbs!

If your hand falls asleep while you’re driving or sitting in an odd position, rock your head from side to side. It’ll painlessly banish your pins and needles in less than a minute, says Dr. DeStefano. A tingly hand or arm is often the result of compression in the bundle of nerves in your neck; loosening your neck muscles releases the pressure. Compressed nerves lower in the body govern the feet, so don’t let your sleeping dogs lie. Stand up and walk around.

Breathe underwater!

If you’re dying to retrieve that quarter from the bottom of the pool, take several short breaths first – essentially, hyperventilate. When you’re underwater, it’s not a lack of oxygen that makes you desperate for a breath; it’s the buildup of carbon dioxide, which makes your blood acidic, which signals your brain that somethin’ ain’t right. “When you hyperventilate, the influx of oxygen lowers blood acidity,” says Jonathan Armbruster, Ph.D., an associate professor of biology at Auburn University. “This tricks your brain into thinking it has more oxygen.” It’ll buy you up to 10 seconds.

Baking Soda Cures

  1. During the first day take six doses of half teaspoonful of Arm & Hammer Bicarbonate of Soda in glass of cool water, at about two hour intervals. Make sure it is aluminum free soda.
  2. During the second day take four doses of half teaspoonful of Arm and Hammer Bicarbonate of Soda in glass of cool water, at the same intervals.
  3. During the third day take two doses of half teaspoonful of Arm and Hammer Bicarbonate of Soda in glass of cool water morning and evening, and thereafter half teaspoonful in glass of cool water each morning until cold is cured.

In order to secure the best results with Arm & Hammer Pure Bicarbonate of Soda (Baking Soda) when taken internally, certain simple rules must be observed. Materia Medica, pharmacology and Therapeutics (Bastedo, Page 88) clearly outlines these rules to follows:

  • “The effect of an alkali in the stomach will vary according to the nature of the stomach contents at the time of administration. In the resting period (after food is digested) sodium bicarbonate merely dissolves mucus and is absorbed as bicarbonate into the blood, to increase its alkalinity directly.
  • “In the digestive period it reduces the secretion of gastric juice, neutralizes a portion of the hydrochloric acid, liberates the carminative carbon dioxide gas, and is absorbed as sodium chloride.
  • “In cases of fermentation or ‘sour stomach’ it may neutralize the organic acids and so result in the opening of a spasmodically closed pylorus (the opening between the stomach and the small intestine); while at the same time it acts to overcome flatulency (accumulation of gas in the stomach and bowels).
  • “The time of administration must, therefore, be chosen with a definite purpose. Usually for hyperchlohydria (excess of acid) one hour or two hours after meals will be the period of harmful excess of acid.
  • “In continuous hyperacidity and in fermentative conditions a dose an hour before meals will tend to prepare the stomach for the next meal; or sometimes a dose will be necessary immediately after eating, because of abnormal acid or base having been present at the commencement of the meal. (For the average person one-half hour after meals is recommended).
  • “A dose at bedtime tends to check the early morning acidity, or a dose on arising cleans the stomach of acid and mucus before breakfast.”
  • Whenever taking a bicarbonate solution internally the soda should be dissolved on cold water.
  • This is all very valuable information coming from the horses own mouth, the Arm and Hammer Baking Soda Company, which sells aluminum free baking soda. Clearly they knew what they had in their hands one hundred years ago; and its long use in medicine sustains the companies published medical views:
  • “Besides doing good in respiratory affections, bicarbonate of soda is of inestimable value in the treatment of Alimentary Intoxication, Pyelitis (inflammation of the pelvis of the kidney), Hyper-Acidity of Urine, Uric Acid disturbances, Rheumatism and Burns. Toxins in your food and supplements

In an article published in Natural News, the lead ‘investigative’ author, Mike Adams identifies what he believes are the 10 worst toxins that regularly appear in many Supplements, Vitamins, Herbs and Health Foods. His list includes:

1) Maltodextrin (from GM corn)

“Chances are very high that the maltodextrin in the products you buy are derived from Monsanto’s GM corn. Corn maltodextrin should be avoided unless it’s certified USDA organic.”

2) Vitamin C / ascorbic acid (from GM corn)

“Nearly all the “vitamin C” sold in vitamins across America right now is derived from GMO corn and made with a genetically modified form of vitamin C. It’s typically called “ascorbic acid,” and nearly 100% of the ascorbic acid used in the natural products industry is derived from GMOs.”

3) Hexane-extracted soy and rice proteins

“Nearly 100% of the “natural” soy proteins sold in the USA are extracted in China using a hexane extraction method. Hexane is a highly explosive, toxic, chemical.”

4) High levels of Aluminum in detox products

“Natural News helped expose high aluminum levels (over 1200ppm) in a popular detox liquid … but this is just one of many so-called “detox” products containing alarming levels of aluminum and other metals. Ingesting these in order to “detox” your body may be harmful to your health.”

5) Lead and arsenic in herbs from China

6) Inorganic minerals in cheap vitamins

Coronavirus 2020

Dr. Francis Boyle, the man that literally drafted the Biological Weapons Act, has gone on record stating that this Coronavirus strain is a Biological Warfare Weapon. As it stands currently, it will have a world wide impact greater than any threat we have faced to date other than the Spanish Flu of 1918. While I do not trust the media, there is a real threat here that breeds real attention. Its main target is people who are already immuno compromised to some degree. While that may not be you directly, how many of us do not have family who are elderly or immune weakened? And if you are a healthy individual, it can still make you miserably sick! So please absorb and share the following information.

There are natural things that should take care of this threat if it visits your home or your loved ones. To answer the many questions I am getting about what to do, here is what I am doing for my family. I am not making a claim here, just sharing what I will personally do. Please keep in mind that this virus was designed to get you sick by creating a Cytokine storm (immune overreaction in the lungs causing infection), and becomes life threatening if enough mitochondria die. The following information is a protocol. To be effective, you MUST use all three products!

PREVENTION: Obviously prevention is better than treatment. Please keep in mind that using commercial disinfectant wipes, sprays, etc, may help kill a virus, but it also kills all the good bacteria designed to protect you. One of the secret ingredients to preserving Mitochondria, is a healthy population of the good microbes (your microbiome). Using commercial disinfectants compromises that. Buy organic wipes or disinfectants that do not have the super harmful chemicals in them. Also, regular, cheap 3% hydrogen peroxide is a complete disinfectant for wiping down handles, counter tops or whatever. You can use it safely on your skin if you desire, but it will also kill the good germs you want to preserve. My go-to for a hand sanitizer? Lemon essential oil. Mix it with the carrier oil of your choice and it will control the bad germs without harming the good bacteria you want to preserve on your skin.

People talk about keeping the immune system strong, and yes you can take extra vitamin C or whatever, but here is what “immune system strong” looks like for me and my family. NO sugar, stimulants, antibiotics, glyphosate. All of these will reduce your natural immune response and feed the Cytokine response and mitochondrial cell death we want to avoid! Avoid any form of non-organic sugar, as it feeds the germs. Avoid caffeine and stimulants because they force adrenaline release and the back lash will leave you weaker. Avoid dairy, anything made from cows milk, because the A1 protein in dairy promotes inflammation and creates mucus. Mucus is a primary breeding material for the germs you don’t want!

I am not allowed to tell you not to use antibiotics if you get sick, so that is a personal choice you will have to make, but remember that any non-organic food probably contains glyphosate, and that, along with antibiotics are two of the main things that destroy our microbiome (good bacteria). All pre-sliced deli meat is coated with antibiotics. The best offense for a dangerous germ is not the latest drug or vaccine, it is the good microbes! How amazing that the Creator designed healthy humans who have the ability to produce the cure internally! By definition, a healthy immune system is synonymous with a healthy microbiome. Does that mean buy a probiotic? Not really. It is more effective to take out the things preventing your natural biome from reproducing on its own (and eating fermented foods you make yourself) than to swallow a few capsules of probiotic that often never make it to its destination because they are killed in the stomach acid. And so the following protocol is not about killing a germ, but helping the body achieve its own miracle the way it was originally designed to.

HOMEOPATHIC. The first thing I will do is use the Coronavirus Detox Remedy. This remedy is designed to be the Quantum “antidote” for all naturally occurring strains of Coronavirus. It works on the same principle as a Homeopathic Medicine (like cures like). If the virus comes to my area, I would take this remedy as a preventative 2-3 times a day. If I got ANY cold or flu-like symptoms, I would take a half dropper every waking hour. A dropper full is 1ml, so 1/2ml every hour. I will assume I may need to continue at this dose for 5-7 days. Remember this is pretty contagious, so if one person in my family gets it, I would dose everyone in the family right away at the dropper per hour rate. There are about 120 doses in the 2 ounce bottle, so I might need to have several bottles around if I am treating a family of 4 every hour for a week.

IODINE. The Supplement I would choose to use with controlling this virus, would be Iodine. Lugols 2% is my favorite. Iodine remains in its highest saturation in the Thyroid. Iodine is known to be antimicrobial, which is why it is used to disinfect the skin before surgery. Every 17 minutes, all the blood in your body passes through your Thyroid and gets “dosed” with iodine which acts to kill any germs that should not be in the body. Iodine is perhaps the cheapest nutrient by volume that helps control the Cytokine storm that causes the inflammation in the Lungs.

Lugols is a special form of Iodine that can be used internally. Again, if this virus comes to my city, I will use 5-10 drops a day as a preventative. How much I take would be determined by how depleted I am in Iodine, which can be determined by the patch test on the Iodine page. If I get ANY sign of cold/flu symptoms, I will use a minimum of 10 drops a day, and as many as 20 (again, see the Iodine patch test). I will use half that dose for my children 50-80 lb, and I probably would not use this for small children (unless you are a practitioner and know what you are doing or can muscle test for it.) I will take the daily dose all at once, but I could choose to spread it out through the day. It stains whatever it touches, including the skin, so I will dilute it in an ounce of juice, maybe a strong one like pomegranate.

ABOUT IODINE OVERDOSE. It is generally a non-issue that I can over dose at the doses above. But there will be some people who question that. If you get too much iodine in the body, you may notice some heart racing which is no more harmful than running to the mailbox and back. I cannot get actual Iodine poisoning at these doses.

 

Natural Immunogenics Sovereign Silver® Bio-Active Silver Hydrosol™

COLLOIDAL SILVER is The best natural antibiotic made by man. My favorite way to use silver for any kind of respiratory condition, is through aerosol delivery directly into the sinuses. You can take it orally, but it does compromise the good microbes we are trying to preserve, so I choose to bypass the mouth in a respiratory condition and dose it right into the nasal passages. This means you will need a Nebulizer with a delivery option that fits over the mouth and nose. Walmart seems to have a very inexpensive version. I have one at home that looks almost identical to this one. Battery operated, and very silent, we use this if a sniffle even crosses our face! The Colloidal silver is put in the top reservoir and it is converted into steam. This is breathed into the mouth and nose, and is delivered directly to the area where the virus is probably hibernating. I prefer aerosol delivery over oral dosing because it bypasses the intestine, where it would have killed off some of your good bacteria.

I am not one that uses Silver as a preventative, so you would use this when you get the first sign of cold or flu, and then everyone in the house should use it as follows: Cover the mouth and nose with the face mask, turn on the machine and breath normally in and out of the nose and mouth (so mouth slightly open). Continue this for 7-15 minutes. You can repeat this three times a day if you need to.

NOTE ABOUT SILVER. In order for the silver to be delivered through tiny water droplets of steam (aerosol), the particle size of the silver has to be 1nm or smaller. The only company I know that makes a silver this small is the Sovereign Silver. PPM is completely irrelevant, it is all about the particle size.

LASTLY, don’t be afraid. As a general rule, the human body has every ability to conquer any invading germ. Fear is the opposite of faith and belief. Honor your body if it wants to sleep and rest, and eat as healthy as you possibly can when you are asking your body to overcome an illness. Dehydration is the main reason people end up in the hospitals, so keep the healthy liquids coming. 1. How it began for me

The name of this website is Get Well, Stay Well AT HOME. That probably means different things to different people, but it is quite literal for me. Well, now it is. You absolutely have the ability to heal yourself at home, without drugs and surgery. That said, I completely believe that the ER and trauma medicine saves lives, and that modern medicine is amazing in that department. 100 years ago people with medical emergencies died. Today, incredible technology and skills have been achieved to save lives. If you have an emergency, go to the ER!

In terms of non-emergency medical care – getting well and staying well … you can do that at home much better than in a specialists office. You can do the healthy things that keep you well, at home, you can get your sick self well, at home, with medicines that you can grow, at home. I even had my babies, at home, literally! Well, I didn’t actually birth them, my wife did, lol. If you resonate or desire any part of the Get Well and Stay Well concept of At Home, how much of that are you currently able to do?

Get Well implies that you are not currently well. Getting well relies on the miraculous ability our body has to self correct and actually heal! Are you using medications to relieve the broken functions of your body? Because  they will never get you well. Get Well requires that you give your body the elements it needs in order for it to achieve that miracle you seek from it. The body is a living organism, and it is not difficult to achieve the Get Well miracle you may be seeking.

It may be convenient to just buy a supplement and assume you are getting all the nutrients you need to get healthy, but do you really know the quality and source of that item? It is certainly easier to go to the natural market and get organic foods than to grow them yourself, but again, do you know the true quality and source of that item? What if you grew your food and medicine right at home? It might sound like something you have no interest in, and that was me some time ago. But if you want true health and longevity long term, there is only one recipe for that. You might live in the city and eat an organic diet and work out and stay fit, but there is a very important factor missing that you simply cannot get there. We are not talking about old fashioned gardening that requires tractors and tilling the soil, and you don’t need a big space. You will not be growing everything you eat, at first at least. But we all have to start somewhere. In the following links and pages, I will share with you Dr.D’s version of Getting Well, and Staying Well. It takes a little interaction from you, but I can almost guarantee you will grow to love it.

MY STORY. It is interesting that I was raised in the Amazon jungle, off grid, literally requiring a boat ride to get to town for medicine or food. People there live the way they did here 100 years ago. They had their babies at home with a local midwife, pumped water out of the ground by hand, washed clothes in the river, and grew the food they ate. Grow something to eat, or don’t eat! Pretty simple concept. I was 10 years old when I came to the great USA. When I saw flushing toilets and switches that turned on lights, something inside of me became an instant city boy. The days of hands in the dirt toiling in the sun were over! I had arrived where I was born to be! Life was going to be awesome in the city.

But it didn’t work out quite that way for a while. My parents moved to the country where my dad had a garden every year and operated his veterinary practice out of an office in the home. Thank the Lord I eventually got old enough to leave country living and could head to the city! The pavement and bright lights called to me! Surely there were important things for me to do there.

I had been raised pretty holistic minded (no advil or ER in the middle of the jungle) so when my dad mentioned Naturopathic Medicine as a career, I said sure, it beats treating animals with bowel incontinence and smelly skin rashes! But I became a modern progressive practitioner. I knew how to help people treat their ailments with lots of supplements they had to purchase. As long as the supplement shops were open, I could tell them what to go purchase. At the end of my work day, I would leave my city practice office, get in my cool car, loosen my city boy tie and go home to select a remote with a button I could push to watch my automated life. I could open remote controlled curtains so I could start my remote controlled car. Heck yea! Are you kidding me, if there was a button for it, I wanted that version! Life was great in the city.

Then I got a little older and found myself traveling two weekends a month teaching other people about natural medicine and what capsule they might take for the condition they had. I don’t know what happened exactly, but one day I was just tired of looking out a condo window at a city view looking at more buildings. And suddenly traffic was super annoying! Where did all these people come from anyway? I had to get out to the country. Something about my roots & the way I was raised must have kicked in. Maybe the rebel in me started to calm down so instinct could once again begin to grow? I made a big life change and I found myself eight acres 30 miles outside the city. It was so calm and peaceful to drink a cup of coffee in the morning and see grass and trees and hear birds chirping. The high from the rat race in the city went away and I began to love the calm. Wow the American dream to own a little piece of land turned out to be a lot of work! Hours and hours of chores to do every week including fences to fix, mowing, and lots more mowing! I wanted to grow a few of my favorite veggies like tomatoes and potatoes. But to do that there was tilling, weeding, and tons of pests fighting for the little food I would try to grow .. what had I gotten myself into!

Long story short, if you are a seasoned farmer, or even homesteader, I might have a few things that will interest you. If you are a modern city dweller, I used to be like you. I didn’t ever want to see dirt under my fingernails, ever again! I didn’t even have a house plant before I moved to the country! As the next article in this category will elaborate, connecting with healthy soil is one of the single most important things you can do for your longevity. Growing food, medicine and taking care of yourself at home actually does not have to be hard, and it works the same way pretty much all over the world. I did things the way most people had always done them in the past, but there are better ways than traditional growing and farming.

I don’t use a tractor for growing food or medicine, I don’t even own a tiller. I am not off grid (yes, I still love buttons, gadgets, and the internet) or I would not be able to get this out to you. As long as you have a tiny piece of dirt and you are willing to keep it free of pesticides, you can do this along with me. I teach about mulch gardening (not just any mulch), growing your own medicine, saving the genetically superior seeds you will get and reconnecting with a primordial need that is hard wired into our DNA (that’s the microbiome piece in the next article). Let me share what I have learned and what I hope you will incorporate into your journey to true healing (that’s Get Well) and longevity (that’s Staying Well).

Milk creates large people

 Each mammal was designed to produce the milk best suited for its kind. When a cow has Milk Creates Large Peoplea baby, it has a calf, not a horse or a rooster. God created all life to reproduce after its own kind. Milk, a part of the reproductive process, is for its own kind as well. Every species needs different nutrients, different balance ratios and absorption factors, and its mother was designed to produce these in perfect balance. Milk was created to feed similar flesh and blood. The old saying “You are what you eat” is right on in this case. Calves reach full maturity in one or two years and weigh in at 1,000-2,000 pounds. Humans take twenty-one years to reach 100-200 pounds! And you wonder why are children are larger with each generation.

Digestion of milk

 The human body stops making lactase, the main enzyme needed to digest milk, between one-and-a-half and four years of age. Lactose is one of the two sugars in milk. When the enzyme lactase is not present to break down this sugar, so the sugar is sent to the large intestine, where inhibiting bacteria ferment the lactose. This causes gas and lactic acid (a poison). This, in turn, draws water to the area through the process of osmosis, and you may get water retention, bloating, heavy gas, diarrhea, and many of the symptoms we will mention later on. Dr. Joyce Gryboski, Director of Pediatrics at the University of Yale School of Medicine, says that at least one child per week is brought in with symptoms that are nothing more than milk allergies.

Protein is perhaps the biggest attraction for the use of milk. Strong, healthy bones, well-developed muscles and great skin: they’re nothing but a sales pitch. The milk producers are good salesmen, and the concept is so programmed in people’s minds they never think twice. If you are having a hard time deciding whether you should stop drinking milk immediately, even with the facts I have already provided, you might be one of those programmed people. The fact is, milk protein does not digest. The protein globules are too big for our livers to digest; the ill effects of undigested protein have been made clear before this point. Dr. Schroeder found that skim milk has lost virtually all the chromium and manganese, both of which are needed to metabolize its two main ingredients, protein and sugar. And here you thought skim milk was better. The advertisers don’t care about your health, just your money.

Fat is another of the great offenders in milk. To start with, the fat globules are too large to digest by the human liver. The human liver is only one-sixth the size of a cow liver. Secondly, three fatty acid molecules combine with one glycerin molecule to produce triglycerides, 95-96% of milk fat, and high triglycerides are related to artery plaque. 60% of milk fat is saturated fat, the “bad” fats looked for in cholesterol screenings. Has your doctor ever told you to get off milk when you failed to pass your cholesterol test? If he even knew to tell you this, you would still find that milk is practically unavoidable as noted if you check the labels.

Milk feeds infection

 Dr. Frank A. Oski, MD, states that streptococcal pharyngitis (bacterial-related allergies that may cause bronchitis, strep, asthma, and other symptoms) becomes practically extinct without milk protein. This is true because galactose (the other milk sugar) is slow-absorbing, which allows a growth of bacteria in the intestinal tract. High amounts of protein without balancing factors, be they milk or any food protein, may cause premature development of some body parts. This causes an imbalanced anatomy, one of the most serious being poor joint development. The milk producers tell you the opposite, that milk is good for growing and developing bodies.

Milk Is One Of The Most DANGEROUS Proteins!

In Part1 of Dr. Dehaan’s series on milk he shared a client testimonial. If you missed it be sure to read, “Milk! It Does A Body Good?“.  When you’re ready let’s jump into Part2 below:

Milk CowMilk has become a product you can hardly escape. Besides the milk you drink, it is in ice cream, cheese, and widely used in the candy and baking industries as well as in the sauces of canned and frozen vegetables. We hear that milk is the perfect food, and so it might be! Research has proven that one quart of milk will provide the fat, calcium, phosphorus and riboflavin; one half the protein; one third the vitamin A, ascorbic acid and thiamin; one quarter the calories, and with the exception of iron, copper, magnesium and manganese, all the minerals needed daily. How impressive! This really is the perfect food – if you are a newborn calf wanting to grow horns and a tough hide.

I ask you to consider the great milk deception for a moment. We humans are the only mammals on earth that drink another species’ milk. Have you ever seen a cat drinking dog milk? Perhaps a moose drinking bear milk? No! It just isn’t right. Some animals do drink milk which comes from other animals, but only when we give it to them in the civilized world. God did not intend for it to be this way in a natural setting, however. I always go back to how it was intended to be in order to find answers to highly disputable questions. Look at the wild animals for a moment. They do not drink another species’ milk, and they never drink milk past the infant stage.  The Bible does tell us to be like children, but I don’t think it meant drinking milk until it created so much acid in our system it killed us!

It’s disgusting if you think about it

 If you stop and ponder the thought of drinking the white fluid substance squeezed from a cow udder, you may get a little grossed out. We don’t often put those mental pictures in our head, to fully consider our options. Would you drink rat milk? Certainly not! Why then is cow milk acceptable? Learned behavior? Mothers stop making milk for a reason. God intended you to stop drinking it when it ran out. I’m sorry if you were not breastfed, but all the cow milk in the world (or milk from any animal) is not going to help that issue now.

Does your information come from advertisers?

 Maybe God made a mistake in stopping the milk supply when you were an infant. The arguments indicate that milk is so good for you: it develops bones and makes them strong; it gives you healthy skin; it is high in protein, needed for tissue building and repair, etc. Guess who paid for that research finding: the same people who said milk does the body good. Unfortunately, here is what you don’t hear: milk is so perfectly balanced, bacteria thrive in it, and anything that will produce or duplicate bacteria is not in balance for the body. We aren’t talking about the friendly bacteria that naturally reside in the intestine; we are talking about infectious bacteria. Infectious bacteria do not live in a healthy human environment, so milk must not be healthy for the human body. Isn’t that reasonable? Did you ever smell rotten milk? Chances are, if your bowel movements are smelly, you drink milk or eat too much animal protein. Either way, the calcium that is supposed to be in milk probably never makes it to your bones because that smell means it’s rotting inside your intestine. If your intestine does not assimilate it and your cells don’t metabolize it, it will never do your bones, or any part, any good. Another fact is that milk was created for cows, and cows have four stomachs. It takes all four of these to break the elements in cow’s milk down. People only have one stomach, and one stomach does not have the capability of breaking the elements in milk down. This is why it rots and creates excess mucus.

Milk! It Does a Body Good?

If you listen to the mainstream you probably think milk is an essential element to your health.  In Dr. Dehaan’s book, “The Foundation“, he challenges this and points out reasons why milk is bad for the human body and may even be dangerous.

We thought a good way to start out the series was to share an experience from one of our clients.

“I started seeing Dr. Dehaan around 2005. When I went to my first appointment I picked Get Well Stay Well Milk Blogup a copy of his book, The Foundation. At the time I wasn’t as committed to natural health and healing as I am now so when my 2 year old son started having allergy symptoms (runny nose, etc) we took him to his pediatrician. All the doctor did was give us a handful of allergy pills and told us to try one until his symptoms cleared up.

We hadn’t given him any of the medicine yet and were on a trip to Blowing Rock, NC. I was reading the book that evening when I got to the part about milk and how cow milk is not good for the human body. As it turns out, milk/dairy can cause allergy symptoms. Now at the time my son LOVED milk. He drank at least 3 to 4 baby bottles of milk a day. I remember looking over at him as I was reading that section and there he was, drinking his milk!

I showed my wife the book and the next day we drove over to Boone and got some rice milk at Earth Fare and from that day on we gave our son a milk alternative. An amazing thing happened. His symptoms disappeared and to this day haven’t returned. We continue to drink milk alternatives such as Almond or Coconut Milk.”
